The Lord's Time

What a week!  First of all, a little shout out to all the women, "Happy Mother's  Day!"  I hope  you all had a fantastic day :)  So Guess what?  This next Sunday, we will be having a dedication of the new temple in Cordoba, Argentina and so all of the members are all pretty excited about it.  This week we had our zone conference with President about "Using Time Wisely" or as "The Lord's Time".  It's been one of my favorite conferences thus far.  It was centered a lot about being representative of Christ; our behavior; our conduct; obedience; commandments; rules; actions; thoughts; etc.  One thing I loved was "How can we change the natural man?"

D&C 93:33
 33 For man is spirit. The elements are eternal, and spirit and element, inseparably connected, receive a fulness of joy;

Mosiah 5:2
And they all cried with one voice, saying: Yea, we believe all the words which thou hast spoken unto us; and also, we know of their surety and truth, because of the Spirit of the Lord Omnipotent, which has wrought a mighty change in us, or in our hearts, that we have no more disposition to do evil, but to do good continually.

We were given an example of all the ingredients of a chocolate cake, but something was missing.  "The chocolate"  You've got to have the "whole package" or it's never going to turn out how you want it to.

Matthew 5:2
And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

As we give "the whole package" a new light will be shown.  A missionary who wants to do the work of the Lord knows the power of the Lord.

C.S. Lewis once said:

“Give me all of you!!! I don’t want so much of your time, so much of your talents and money, and so much of your work. I want YOU!!! ALL OF YOU!! I have not come to torment or frustrate the natural man or woman, but to KILL IT! No half measures will do. I don’t want to only prune a branch here and a branch there; rather I want the whole tree out! Hand it over to me, the whole outfit, all of your desires, all of your wants and wishes and dreams. Turn them ALL over to me, give yourself to me and I will make of you a new self---in my image. Give me yourself and in exchange I will give you Myself. My will, shall become your will. My heart, shall become your heart."

I've realized that the time as a missionary is like being blind-folded and when taken off, you wonder where the time went...you are already at the finish.  Out time as missionaries is very short but not only that, as human beings.  This time on earth is our time to sanctify and sacrifice and give ALL our time to the Lord.

Romans 13:11-12
11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

The Lord has so much love for us. This time that we have now - let us show our love to Him by serving Him and the people around us.

1 Nephi 19:9
And the world, because of their iniquity, shall judge him to be a thing of naught; wherefore they scourge him, and he suffereth it; and they smite him, and he suffereth it. Yea, they spit upon him, and he suffereth it, because of his loving kindness and his long-suffering towards the children of men.

D&C 60:13
13 Behold, they have been sent to preach my gospel among the congregations of the wicked; wherefore, I give unto them a commandment, thus: Thou shalt not idle away thy time, neither shalt thou bury thy talent that it may not be known.

Okay...So are you ready for the miracles that happened this week!!!?  First of all, we had 2 investigators at church.  "Nestor and Francisca"  Both whom we have been working for the past week and love the gospel.  We are helping Nestor to quit smoking, but has the faith to do so.  We are super excited for them both .  Also, our mission president gave us a new goal this week:  "Always searching, always teaching."  and wow, what marvelous wonders!  This week, my companion and I decided to just throw our plans down and head for and area in our area called, "Palhue", a very special ara :)  Anyways, we found and taught one right after another and found more success in 1 hour than we did the whole day.  The best part about it, was asking my comp at every corner which street to take and every street she chose was the one I had in the back of my mind.  It felt as if the Lord was walking beside us in our camino.  That same day, I realized we had an investigator forum a while back who I thought of to go and visit.  As we did, her voice shook my attention, "Hermanas, I've been waiting for you, my husband just dies about 15 days ago"  We also had an experience where we went to find a chica and couldn't find her address.  We talked to about 3 people and ended up talking to a mother and before I could even talk, she said, "I would love to have you guys teach me and listen to your message because my family is having difficulties."  On Tuesday, we had a little chica 14 years old come up to us and ask for a Bible and we showed her the Book of Mormon.  She too want to know and desire to know if God exists.  That same week, we found out that her mom is a less active.  I wish I could go on and on about every miracle we encountered.  I wish you could see the faces of men and women 14-93 years old when given a Book of Mormon and the light that shines through their faces.  The tears of joy and comfort of the gospel.  I can't even explain to you the spirit of this week and literally feeling God wlking beside us.  I know that this gospel is true.  That God is real, the He lives and He is here.  He answers our prayers, He understand and He WILL show us the way.

Homework:  Mark 12:41-44.   Give your heart and soul to the Lord and remember, "Am I using my time wisely and how can I turn it into the Lord's time?"
